Laser Eye Lift

Laser Eye Lift

Dr. Lee uses the Rohrer Phoenix CO2 laser to perform both upper lid and transconjunctival blepharoplasty for under-eye bag removal.   However, we proudly announce a nonsurgical device to quickly remove under-eye bags and wrinkles with shorter downtime with the Agnes RF.

Laser Eyes blepharoplasty

Eyes are the first thing people notice on your face.  Unfortunately, with aging, our eyelids can develop wrinkles, bags, or droopy skin, making us look tired and sad and appear older than we feel.   Blepharoplasty, an eyelid lift surgery, can restore a youthful and rejuvenated look to the eyes.

When it comes to cosmetic eyelid surgery(blepharoplasty), the topic of laser eyes versus scalpel procedure sometimes arises.

Well, the short and obvious answer is almost always LASER. And here is why:

1- The laser eyes, in this case, are a superior tool because it cut like a scalpel and immediately cauterize the cut to stop bleeding.

2 – There is less bruising and swelling of the eyelid area because of the reduced blood loss. So, less post-operation pain and positive results are seen quickly.

3 – Recovery time is quicker when a laser eyes is used for eyelid surgery. Typically, it takes seven to ten days versus two to four weeks when a traditional scalpel is used for this procedure.

Another advantage of having carbon dioxide laser eyes is the ability to treat the surface of the skin at the same time to tighten and remove wrinkles.

Agnes RF

Agnes RF is a revolutionary, non-surgical radiofrequency device that can quickly treat eye bags without incisions with minimal downtime and swelling. Under the eye, fat is melted away using a needle to apply focused radiofrequency energy thru the skin.

We can also smooth and tighten the eyelid skin, remove crow’s feet, and offer brow lifts with Agnes RF.  This device is suitable for any skin type. Results can be seen after the first treatment.  Several treatments may be needed depending on the size of the protruding fat pad.

We love this fabulous new non-invasive procedure to remove bags and the puffy eye appearance that can make you look older than you are.

Double Eyelid

Surgery

Double eyelid surgery, or Asian Eyelid Surgery, has quickly become one of the most sought-after and popular procedures within the Asian community. This specific type of blepharoplasty creates a pretarsal crease in the upper eyelid for patients born with monolids creating a younger, more attractive, and refreshed appearance when their upper eyelids do not descend onto the eyelashes.

Dr. Lee personally tailors double eyelid surgery with one of the following techniques:

Incisional Double Eyelid Surgery

This approach best suits patients with excess or thick eyelid skin or severe ptosis (droopy eyelid).  This involves the creation of the eyelid fold using an incision, at which time muscle and fat can be removed to thin the upper lid.  This method can provide a more profound and robust crease but requires a longer recovery.

Non-incisional Double Eyelid Surgery

After several tiny skin punctures, a suture creates a double eyelid line. The double suture technique achieves the best results for patients with little excess skin, minimal droopiness, and little to no fat in the eyelids.

Epicathaloplasty

Three in five Asians have a “Mongolian fold,” which covers a significant part of the inner eye, making the eyes appear too short horizontally.  Epicanthoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure aimed at eliminating the ‘Mongolian fold’ that obstructs the medial corner of the eye. Epicanthoplasty can lengthen the horizontal eyelid opening to create bigger, more alert-looking eyes.  Epicanthoplasty can be performed at the same time during your double eye surgery to enlarge the eyes and give a more delicate and naturally pleasing eye appearance.

Lateral

Canthoplasty

Lateral Canthoplasty surgery can be used to create a “doe-eyed” appearance by elongating the outer corners of the eyes and creating a more open and rounded look. The surgery involves reshaping and repositioning the outer corners of the eyes to create a more almond-shaped or elongated appearance, which can give the eyes a more youthful and playful look.

The procedure can be combined with other surgeries, such as a medial epicanthoplasty, to further enhance the appearance of the eyes. A medial epicanthoplasty involves removing the excess skin and tissue between the inner corners of the eyes, which can create a wider and more open look.

Ptosis

(fallen eyelids)

We also address ptosis at the time of the double eye surgery using the same sutures by a new technique called “non-incisional combined double eyelid and ptosis correction surgery,”

Ptosis(fallen eyelids)

Dr. Lee believes in creating a naturally appearing double eyelid crease that flows harmoniously with the rest of the face. The aim of Asian eyelid surgery is not to create westernized eyelids but an Asian eyelid with a naturally appearing crease.

About This

Service

Laser eyelid surgery, also known as laser blepharoplasty, is a cosmetic procedure that uses a laser to remove excess skin, fat, or muscle from the eyelids.

Good candidates for laser eyelid surgery are individuals with excess skin or fat deposits around the eyes, causing sagging or puffiness. Candidates should be in good overall health and have realistic expectations about the outcomes of the procedure. Consultation with a qualified surgeon is essential to determine eligibility.

Laser eyelid surgery can provide various benefits, including improved eyelid contour, reduction of under-eye bags, and a more youthful appearance. The use of laser technology may also result in reduced swelling, bruising, and a quicker recovery compared to traditional surgical methods.

The recovery time for laser eyelid surgery varies from person to person but is generally shorter than traditional surgery.

As with any surgical procedure, there are potential risks and complications. These may include infection, scarring, dry eyes, or temporary changes in eyelid sensation. Choosing a skilled and experienced surgeon, following post-operative care instructions, and attending follow-up appointments can help minimize these risks.

The results of laser eyelid surgery are long-lasting, and many patients enjoy a rejuvenated appearance for years. However, the aging process continues, and some natural changes may occur over time. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and protecting your eyes from sun exposure can contribute to prolonged results.
